Contracts Manager – Utilities
Salary: £68,000 - £73,000 DOE plus £5,500 Car Allowance & Benefits
Casey
Greater Manchester
Full-time, Permanent
We are currently recruiting a Contracts Manager to assume overall responsibility for multiple projects, specifically within utilities.
Who are we looking for?
We're looking for a Contracts Manager with solid experience in utilities and civil engineering, ideally gained through delivering projects under the United Utilities AMP frameworks (AMP5, 6, 7 or 8). You'll understand the unique challenges of working in this sector - ideally on 'better rivers', 'wastewater' and 'clean water' schemes – and bring the technical and commercial know-how to deliver projects that really matter.
You'll be confident managing contracts from end to end, including NEC contract management, budget oversight, programme delivery, and ensuring compliance with strict quality and safety standards. Just as importantly, you'll know how to lead and inspire teams, while building strong client relationships and maintaining open, collaborative communication with stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will balance commercial awareness with people leadership, combining technical expertise with the ability to get the best out of teams. By joining us on the AMP8 minor works framework, you'll play a key role in helping us deliver essential infrastructure improvements that support communities, protect the environment, and leave a lasting positive impact.
