Post – Class teacher for 7-11 year olds. Part time Monday to Wednesday. This is a temporary post from 01.09.26 to 30.11.26 to cover a maternity leave.

There is a part time temporary job opportunity at the Hafod Federation for a class teacher. The Hafod Federation consists of Ysgol y Waun and Gwernymynydd CP and the post will initially be with 7-10 year olds.
The successful applicant should have an excellent knowledge and understanding of effective teaching, learning and assessment methods to raise standards. They should be an outstanding teacher who is able to provide stimulating, exciting and challenging opportunities across the curriculum to enhance the learning experiences of our learners. We are particularly interested in applicants who have recent experiences of response to pupil voice/leading pupil groups, science and technology and working with multiple age groups in one class.
We are looking for an excellent and organised practitioner who:
- has high expectations of learner behaviour and is committed to supporting and promoting the well-being of our children
- has the ability to create a stimulating environment for all learners and can inspire and motivate learners and colleagues
- is able to provide enhanced learning opportunities to meet the needs of all learners across all areas of development, both indoors and outdoors
- is committed to working as part of a successful team
- is able to co-ordinate activities and resources within agreed areas of provision within a shared workspace
- is self motivated and able to work efficiently and effectively both independently and with others
- is up to date with current practice and strategic developments in education in Wales
- enhances children’s learning using digital platforms.
- demonstrates the ability to deliver Welsh as a second language to enhance their teaching
- is willing to undertake extra curricular activities and embrace the ethos of the school.
