We are recruiting on behalf of one of our secondary schools within the Beckenham area who are looking to appoint a dedicated Economics and Business Studies Teacher who has a real passion for the subject.
We are helping our client to seek an inspirational teacher with excellent subject knowledge for a long-term maternity cover role to start in January 2025 until the end of the year.
The successful candidate will join the school’s enthusiastic department, working and collaborating with an exceptionally dedicated and talented team of practitioners.
Your key responsibilities will include:
To plan and deliver outstanding lessons that engage and excite children and ensure that all students make good and better progress
To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher/form tutor
To communicate with parents about students’ progress through reports, parents’ evenings etc.
To be responsible for maintaining teaching rooms in a clean and tidy state and facilitating the display of students’ work and maintain good order and behaviour in the classroom
To participate in appropriate arrangements for in service training and professional development
Requirements:
Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant degree
Have successful teaching experience at secondary level in an 11-18 school
Knowledge of the National Curriculum requirements at KS3, KS4 and ideally KS5.
Strong classroom management skills and keen to make a difference to the lives of young people
A genuine passion for working with children and enjoy working in a school environment.
Punctual, trustworthy and can work as part of a team and to develop and maintain positive relationships with all staff.
