The role will have a direct impact on the businesses ability to develop new products, improve existing products and exceed current customer expectations - it's designing high precision equipment and will test the most seasoned engineers.
What You’ll Do
* Concept to completion design, working with manufacturing and factoring in DFM
* Mechanical design governance, ensuring performance, manufacturability and safety.
* Cross-functional design reviews, navigating technical challenges with clarity and confidence.
* Capability development, mentoring and coaching of engineers
* Support engineering process improvement initiatives and long-term technology strategy.
What You Bring
* Strong background in mechanical design for complex or instrumentation equipment.
* Experience in leading projects from a design perspective
* High proficiency in CAD and FEA (stiffness, vibration, structural analysis).
* Strong understanding of DFM
* Strong communicator with customer-facing capability.
* Passion for engineering excellence and developing technical teams.
