About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils’ learning and development across the classroom. Working closely with the class teacher, you will help create an engaging, inclusive, and positive learning environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality lessons
2. Work with small groups or individual pupils to reinforce learning
3. Assist in the preparation of classroom resources and activities
4. Promote positive behaviour and support pupils’ wellbeing
5. Help to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment
6. Provide feedback on pupil progress where appropriate
Essential Requirements
7. Previous experience working within a UK school setting is essential
8. Proven general classroom experience is required before applying for this role
9. A strong understanding of the primary curriculum
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
11. A proactive, flexible, and positive attitude
12. A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
Desirable (but not essential)
13. Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3)
14. Experience supporting children with additional needs (SEND)
