At The University of Law, we are expanding our Computer Science portfolio and are looking for a Visiting Lecturer to play a key role in designing innovative postgraduate programmes in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Cybersecurity. This is a unique opportunity to influence the structure and content of new MSc programmes, working closely with senior academic leaders to create engaging, industry-relevant curriculum that supports student success. Your work will underpin the student experience and ensure our programmes meet both academic and industry standards. This role will start from 5th May 2026 until the end of the Academic Year.
Responsibilities
* Design and develop programme documentation including programme specifications, module descriptors and module guides
* Contribute to the development of the following programmes:
o MSc Data Science and Artificial Intelligence
o MSc Data Science and Artificial Intelligence with Academic and Professional Practice
o MSc Computing and Artificial Intelligence
o MSc Computing and Cybersecurity
* Collaborate with the Head of Computer Science and wider academic colleagues to ensure high-quality, coherent programme design
* Apply subject expertise to ensure content reflects current industry trends and academic best practice
Qualifications
* Expertise in Artificial Intelligence and/or Cybersecurity and Computing, including areas such as:
o Machine learning, deep learning, large language models, big data and data analytics
o Cybersecurity, digital forensics, ethical hacking, network security (offensive and defensive)
* Experience in developing higher education curriculum or programme documentation
* Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, structured academic content
* Ability to work collaboratively with academic stakeholders
Compensation
The hourly rate for this role is up to £71.39 per hour for teaching, inclusive of preparation, associated marking and responding to student queries. Please note that any design work has a separate daily rate.
