Retail Acquisitions Manager
Base: North or Midlands (with travel to West Yorkshire HQ)
£50,000 – £70,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance + Benefits (DOE)
Are you a strategic and commercially minded property professional with a strong track record in securing high-performing retail sites?
We’re working with a successful and expanding retail brand on the appointment of a Retail Acquisitions Manager to drive their store growth strategy across the UK and Ireland. This is a high-profile role where you'll have the autonomy and influence to shape the future of the company’s physical retail presence.
You’ll be responsible for identifying and delivering new store opportunities across high streets, shopping centres, and retail parks — managing the full acquisition lifecycle from market mapping through to lease negotiation and financial approval.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement a rolling acquisition strategy aligned with business growth plans
* Identify and secure new retail sites through agency networks, landlord relationships, and market insights
* Carry out comprehensive site evaluations including demographic profiling, rent analysis, and sales forecasting
* Lead lease negotiations to ensure commercially favourable terms
* Work cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Construction, and Retail Operations to bring deals to completion
* Provide strategic input at Board level on site selection, relocations, and lease renewals
* Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and planning changes to inform acquisition decisions
* Maintain a clear pipeline of opportunities with accurate reporting and risk assessments
About You
* MRICS or equivalent professional qualification preferred
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in retail property acquisitions or commercial real estate
* Deep understanding of UK & ROI property markets, lease agreements, and planning processes
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to model sales potential for new sites
* Established network within the retail property sector (agents, landlords, developers)
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills
* Highly organised, commercially astute, and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Location & Working Model
The role offers a hybrid working model, with travel required to the West Yorkshire head office two days per week. The ideal candidate will be based in the North or Midlands region and have flexibility to travel nationwide as required.

* Salary: £50,000 – £70,000 (dependent on experience)
* Car Allowance: £5,000
