As the official ‘Mighty Mariner’ mascot, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the fan experience both on match days and in various out-of-match day activities. This role requires someone who can connect with a wide range of supporters, including children and families, and represent the club in a professional, fun, and positive manner. They play a crucial role in enhancing matchday experience and creating unforgettable memories for our fans. We are seeking individuals who are passionate supporters of the club to perform the role of the mascot on both match days and at various community events organised by either the Club or the Foundation which could include but is not limited to promotional events, charity fundraisers and grassroots activities maintaining a positive presence in schools and local businesses as required. Therefore, hours of work will vary but will be approximately 4 hours on a matchday. The main roles & responsibilities are as follows; Participate in pre-match events, including fan zones and meet-and-greets. Pose for photos with fans before and after the game to ensure a good level of fan engagement Join the team on the pitch for any pre-match events, including leading chants, celebrations and supporting club promotions Perform crowd-engagement routines and entertaining moments during breaks in play (e.g half time shows or competitions) Attend post-match fan interactions or community activities as required Attend promotional events, charity functions and grassroots football activities to foster goodwill and maintain the club's positive presence in the community Attend sponsor events and cooperate with club partners for promotional appearances About The Candidate Energetic & Outgoing: Must have a high level of enthusiasm and the ability to engage with fans of all ages. Professionalism: Must always uphold a professional image, representing the club in the best light both on and off the pitch. Physical Stamina: Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods (wearing the mascot costume, walking, engaging with crowds etc) Communication Skills: Strong non-verbal communication skills to engage with fans and participants effectively. Flexibility: Must be able to attend events on match days and during evenings and weekends as required).
