Owen Mumford is looking to hire an ambitious Transport Planner! Could this be your next role?
The Transport Planner is an exciting position within an experienced Supply Chain Department. This role will be responsible for the planning and scheduling outbound transport as well as being the key point of contact for all 3PL transport providers, customs clearance instructions.
This role will be based at our Woodstock site, working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday with core working hours of 9:30am-12 Noon and 2:00pm-4:00pm (3:30pm on Fridays).
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, book and communicate all customer and outbound transport.
* Plan, book and communicate all supplier and inbound transport; including cross trade.
* Manage the UK Sales 3rd Party Logistics contract and resolve queries/issues relating to stock held on Owen Mumford’s behalf.
* Manage the UK Ecommerce order fulfillment process.
* Monitor dispatches and proactively communicate ETA’s
* Monitor and report on vehicle utilisation
* Construct and communicate transport KPI’s
* Manage the outbound logistics, ensuring the correct Incoterms are in place; and ensure that agreed despatch times are in place.
* Support the management of the Owen Mumford deferment account and provide monthly accounting reports for all exports.
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Need
* Knowledge of Freight / Transport processes
* Sound knowledge Import/Export Process Knowledge
* Experience in planning
* Experience in dealing with 3PL’s
