Tree Surgeon Team Leader

Overview
We're supporting a well-established housing association in Bristol in their search for a Tree Surgeon Team Leader to oversee arboriculture operations across their residential portfolio.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Tree Surgeon ready to step up, or an existing Team Leader looking for a more stable, community-focused environment.
You'll lead a small team, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to a consistently high standard, while maintaining excellent service for residents.
Responsibilities
* Lead, support, and motivate a team of Tree Surgeons on-site
* Plan and oversee daily arboriculture operations across multiple locations
* Carry out tree works including pruning, felling, and maintenance when required
* Ensure all equipment, vehicles, and PPE are safe and compliant
* Conduct quality checks and site inspections
* Assess tree health and manage risk across sites
* Manage workload, performance, and development of team members
* Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations
* Act as the main point of contact for residents and internal teams
* Support continuous improvement and best practice sharing
Requirements
* Strong experience in arboriculture / tree surgery
* Previous experience leading or supervising a team
* Relevant qualifications (NPTC / Lantra - CS30, CS31, CS32, CS40 etc.)
* Confident using arboriculture machinery and working at height
* Solid understanding of tree health, risk assessment, and site safety
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* Full UK driving licence (essential)
* Ability to manage workloads and deliver against targets
