Health and Safety Manager About the Role An established and respected interior fit-out contractor is seeking a proactive and people-focused Health & Safety Manager to join their team. This role will oversee health & safety performance across multiple high-profile commercial fit-out projects, ensuring compliance with legislation and promoting a positive safety culture. Key Responsibilities Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, internal standards, and best practice. Review site-specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) from contractors. Investigate incidents and near misses, producing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions. Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and training. Liaise with site managers, subcontractors, and clients to promote safe working environments. Assist with KPI tracking, safety data analysis, and training delivery. Support the retention of key accreditations, including ISO 45001 and SafeContractor. Update health & safety policies, procedures, and documentation.Essential Qualifications & Experience NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety. Technical Membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH). SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme). First Aid at Work certification. Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle. Up to 3 years’ experience in construction, ideally within interior fit-out projects.Key Skills & Attributes Strong understanding of UK health & safety legislation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Confident engaging with site teams and senior management. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
