About the Role
We are supporting a well-established automotive workshop in their search for an experienced Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join a busy, professional service centre. This position offers the chance to work with a wide variety of vehicles, delivering high-quality servicing, repairs, and diagnostics within a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Vehicle servicing & repairs — routine maintenance and mechanical repair work across passenger and light commercial vehicles
* Diagnostics — identify and resolve faults using appropriate diagnostic tools
* MOT testing (if qualified)
* Warranty repairs — complete work in line with manufacturer standards
* Vehicle Health Checks and accurate completion of all supporting documentation
* Collaborate with workshop colleagues to meet productivity and quality targets
* Maintain high standards of workmanship and customer service
Working Hours
* Monday to Friday: 08:30 – 17:00
* Overtime available on an ad-hoc basis
* Saturday mornings on a rota (as required)
Candidate Requirements
* Minimum 2 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
* Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
* Confident communicator and effective team player
* Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering quality work
