Role Overview As a day-to-day cover teacher, you will provide effective classroom teaching across a range of primary year groups, stepping in for absent colleagues and ensuring a seamless learning experience for pupils. You’ll have the opportunity to work within different schools across the trust, gaining valuable experience, building professional relationships, and potentially progressing into long-term or permanent teaching opportunities. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in accordance with the school’s curriculum. Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment. Manage classroom behaviour confidently and with a positive approach. Provide feedback and assessments to support pupil learning and progress. Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and fellow staff members to enhance pupil outcomes. Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners. Inspire, motivate, and engage pupils to reach their full potential during cover lessons. Person Specification Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification. Demonstrated experience teaching across primary key stages (essential). Strong classroom management and adaptability skills. Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal abilities.
