The Royal Agricultural University (RAU) has been at the forefront of agricultural education for over 175 years and is globally renowned for its links with industry and courses that are designed to meet the demands of the changing land-based sector.
As one of the UK’s smallest universities, we are ideally people-centred and agile: students and staff alike are names, not numbers. We aim to create a pleasant working environment and to advance projects promptly, with clarity on lines of support for colleagues in supporting the University’s mission.
We are looking to recruit a Student Records Officer as part of a job share. Working within the Registry Team, the post holder will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of student records, responding to staff and student requests on the application and interpretation of university policies for students and the University’s regulations, including for collaborative partner organisations.
Responsibilities
* Manage the day-to-day operation of student records systems and respond to staff and student requests on the application and interpretation of university policies and regulations (including for collaborative partner organisations).
* Analyse and report on student data and support the operation of student processes and the resolution of student queries.
* Carry out all necessary administrative duties to support the maintenance of student records, including module registration, programme enrolment and fee records.
* Contribute to delivering a professional, customer-focused service that supports students, academic staff and professional services through the provision of accurate data and an excellent student experience.
* Work flexibly within the Academic Services department to gain a wider range of experience in academic administration.
Qualifications
* Experience of managing multiple administrative tasks in a busy education setting.
* Accurate use of a student records system and competence in using MS Office applications.
* Customer-focused approach with excellent communication and organisational skills.
