About the apprenticeship
Duties
General classroom support including:
Support groups of children with learning tasks set by teacher
Support groups of children during play based learning activities, encouraging children with positive feedback and modelling language appropriately
Support groups of children by preparing snacks and supervising them during snack time
Support teacher and the class team in setting up activities for the children both inside and outside of the classroom
Requirements
Qualifications
None needed. However, some experience of working with children or nurturing children would be useful.We are seeking someone with a warm and caring approach when interacting with young children, helping to create a safe, fun, and nurturing environment.
Good communication skills are helpful for engaging with children and working alongside staff and families.
A willingness to listen, learn, and be part of a team is important, as is a gentle, supportive nature.
Creativity, a positive attitude, and a genuine interest in early childhood development will be appreciated.
It is important to be flexible and open to a variety of tasks, from playing and reading with children to helping with activities and routines.
While no formal experience is necessary, a passion for working with young children and a commitment to their well-being will make this a rewarding and enjoyable experience.
