Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer Manufacture | Bury St Edmunds | Up to £55,000 per year
Position 1 Recruitment is seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join our clients team in Bury St Edmunds. This role is ideal for a proactive and driven individual with both mechanical and electrical expertise, working with large-scale industrial processing and production equipment.

Salary: Up to £50,000 per year, plus a 5% bonus (after 6 months)

Shift Pattern: Full-time, 42 hours/week, Panama shift (days & nights) 6 till 6.

Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities:
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical production equipment
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair machinery, including material handling systems, conveyors, pneumatics, hydraulics, motors, drives, PLCs, and control panels
Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment
Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete paperwork promptly
Participate in the BOPEX continuous improvement program
Follow all Health & Safety procedures, company policies, and regulations
Offer flexibility for on-call and out-of-hours work when required
The successful Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will have:
Relevant qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
Strong mechanical skills: conveyors, material handling, pneumatics, and hydraulics
Strong electrical skills: PLCs, inverter controls, motors, wiring, and control systems
Experience in a heavy industrial environment
Solid knowledge of Health & Safety protocols, including Lock Out/Tag Out, Safe Isolation, Working at Height, Permit to Work, Confined Space, and ATEX/DSEAR
Previous experience in both mechanical and electrical maintenance preferred
