Please note this is a fixed term position for 21 months Working hours: 30 hours per week on a rota basis which includes evenings, weekends, and bank holidays Interview Date: w/c 7th July 2025 Join our team at Founders House Lifehouse located in Whitechapel is looking to recruit a motivated, passionate, and dynamic Apprentice Support Worker to join our Homelessness Service Team. We provide residential supported accommodation for up to 123 adult males who are experiencing homelessness, supporting them on their individual journeys from the street to their own home. Key responsibilities: As Apprentice Support Worker you will work towards Adult Care Worker Level 3 standards and will learn to develop and deliver a high-quality person-centred programme of support, promoting client’s strengths, independence, and choice. You will learn the necessary skills to address client support needs, enable them to achieve positive life changes and ultimately empower them to lead fulfilling lives. The role includes meeting with clients on a one-to-one basis, working alongside clients to address emotional and psychological trauma, substance misuse, mental health, physical health, and wellbeing. This will include writing and updating support plans and risk assessments, managing the reception area, and dealing with queries both face to face and over the phone. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate: The ability to work well in a team Positive attitude and a high level of motivation towards supporting vulnerable clients to achieve focussed and positive life outcomes Good verbal and written communication skills Be solution focused and show good time management skills.
