Overview
The Registered Manager role is to lead a children's home, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care in line with OFSTED regulations and best practices. This is a key leadership position providing operational management, staff development, and ensuring the home offers a welcoming and therapeutic environment for young people. The aim is to create a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment where every child can thrive, grow, and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the daily operations of the children's home, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Promote a child-centred approach, ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of each child in your care.
* Develop and implement high-quality care plans tailored to individual needs.
* Oversee and support the recruitment, supervision, and professional development of staff, fostering a motivated and skilled team.
* Ensure the home operates within set budgets and achieves performance targets.
* Build and maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders, including OFSTED, local authorities, and families.
* Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring a strong culture of safeguarding is embedded throughout the home.
About You
* A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
* Proven Registered Manager experience managing a children's residential setting, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and OFSTED standards.
* Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a team.
* A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
* Exceptional communication, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
* A full UK driving license.
