Role: Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Newcastle
Salary: £40-£52k plus excellent benefits package.
Are you a Civil Engineer looking to grow your expertise on projects across the UK? Our client is looking to recruit a Senior Civil Engineer to join their Infrastructure team based at their Newcastle office. The role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package.
Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer duties & responsibilities:
1. Manage, design, develop, create and maintain small-scale through to large-scale construction projects in a safe, timely and sustainable manner.
2. Assess the impact and feasibility of site due diligence, preliminary layout and up to the final engineering design.
3. Study and assess drawings, plans, specifications and other documents relating to construction projects.
4. Manage deliverables on time and within the budget.
5. Direct, lead and support other engineering and skilled personnel in managing and executing multiple tasks and projects.
6. Collaborate and interact with construction teams, architects and outside project developers and consultants.
7. Initiate and ensure standard civil engineering discipline in drawings and plans.
8. Designing to all relevant UK standards and guides.
9. Obtain approval from approving bodies.
Candidate specification – Knowledge/experience/qualifications:
10. Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or another relevant subject.
11. Computer literate with a good understanding of appropriate software packages including CAD, PDS or Civil3D and Microdrainage / FLOW.
12. FRA experience.
13. Competent with S278/S38 highway design.
14. Experience in private and adoptable drainage design.
15. Experience of earthworks and external level designs including 3D analysis.
16. Knowledge of the planning, specification, design, procurement and commissioning of projects.
17. Experience in team and line management.
18. Experience of coaching and mentoring Engineers within a discipline group.
19. Experienced level of decision making and ability to prioritise and manage conflicting internal and external demands.
