Contract Supervisor
Hours: 40 - 45 hours per week
As a Contract Supervisor at FCC Environment, you will play a key role in planning, controlling, and supervising staff and resources to maintain the collection of refuse, recycling, and street cleansing throughout the district. You will be responsible for leading a team of 40+ employees, ensuring contractual requirements are met and maintaining high standards of health and safety, performance, and customer service.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working five days per week.

Planning and organising daily tasks, arranging crew deployment, and allocating vehicles, plant, and materials
- Setting output targets for crews and monitoring performance
- Carrying out health and safety monitoring and maintaining records
- Maintaining high standards of contractor/client liaison
- Experience in supervising teams, ideally within waste management, logistics, or a similar operational environment
- Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to allocate resources and monitor performance
- A valid UK driving licence (LGV Class 2 and O Licence desirable)
- The ability to work flexible hours and in adverse weather conditions
- Experience in health and safety monitoring and compliance
- Experience in stock control, workload planning, and scheduling
- Local knowledge of the area (desirable)
- Experience in disciplinary and absence management
- Experience and knowledge of dealing with fleet
