Join to apply for the Team Leader role at Angus Council.
Based at Angus House, Orchardbank Business Park, Forfar. Workstyle 5 - Hybrid+. You will work from home part of your week and spend some time in council buildings to best suit your work, meetings and collaboration. Angus Council is committed to flexible working and equipment will be provided to support working from home. This is a full-time, permanent role within the Legal, Governance and Change Directorate as part of the Information Governance Team.
Responsibilities
* Provide leadership and direction to the Information Governance team, creating an environment where team members can do their best work.
* Establish systems to gather and analyse information to ensure the team remains focused on customer needs and efficient work practices.
* Support the development and delivery of digital service options and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
* Work within the Legal Services context to support the organisation with governance, compliance and information management tasks.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Substantial knowledge of relevant legislation including UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004, the Re-use of Public Sector Information Regulations and the Public Records (Scotland) Act 2011.
* Ability to motivate and inspire team members; provide strategic direction and foster a collaborative environment.
* Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
* Full-time, permanent employment with flexibility to discuss working patterns during recruitment; hybrid working arrangements supported.
