About the Role
As a Store Manager for an Asda Express store, you will work with a small team to drive sales, set standards, and deliver key performance indicators. You will motivate the team, maintain morale, and create an operation that keeps customers coming back. You will support Asda’s pricing strategy and keep costs low. This role offers a chance to develop further in retail.
Responsibilities
* Lead a small team to achieve sales targets and maintain store standards.
* Drive key results areas (KRAs) and ensure consistent performance.
* Motivate the team, maintain morale, and foster a positive working environment.
* Support Asda’s pricing strategy and manage store costs.
* Handle management issues such as disciplinary action and grievances professionally.
* Plan roster, schedule holidays, and manage staffing rotations, including weekends, evenings, and occasional late nights.
* Identify and develop talent within the team, acting as a coach, role model, and mentor.
About You
* Experience working in a fast‑paced retail environment.
* Adaptability to change and willingness to get stuck in.
* Strong leadership and people‑skills, with the ability to inspire the team.
* Experience dealing with disciplinary and grievance processes.
* Ability to manage rota planning and holiday schedules.
