Category/Purchasing Manager – Procurement (Belfast)
MCS Group is delighted to be working in partnership with one of Northern Irelands top FMCG companies, who are recruiting for a Category/Purchasing Manager to join their Procurement team based in Belfast.

You will;
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand category needs and ensure effective service delivery.
* Lead sourcing and tendering activities in line with company goals, legislation, and sustainability standards.
* Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
* Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, overseeing performance, contracts, and dispute resolution.
* Drive procurement improvement initiatives for cost reduction, efficiency, and lead‑time optimisation.
* Present strategies, market insights, and savings analyses to stakeholders.
* Promote lean practices to eliminate waste and boost efficiency.
* Conduct market intelligence, monitor trends, and manage supply chain risks with contingency planning.
* Assess current and potential suppliers to ensure quality, value, and reliability.
* Identify new markets, products, and processes to support innovation and sustainability.
* Champion sustainable and efficient solutions to reduce the companies carbon footprint.
