Description
South Lanarkshire Council require experienced Electricians to support the delivery of electrical works within Building Services. You will be required to carry out all associated electrical works including new build, refurbishment, maintenance and a Testing and Inspection programme.

Hours / Work Pattern
37 hours per week, Permanent vacancies available. Monday to Thursday 8.00am – 4.30pm, Friday 8.00am – 1.30pm.
Salary / Hourly Rate
£39,856 – £40,995 per year.
Responsibilities
You will be time-served with trade qualifications within your relevant discipline (SVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds) and be able to demonstrate sound practical technical competencies in managing and delivering jobs. You should display experience within either commercial or domestic properties within the construction industry.
For the Testing and Inspection programme you should be able to demonstrate sound practical technical competencies in carrying out Testing / Inspection to current regulations with suitable qualifications.
You will be required to travel throughout South Lanarkshire.
You must demonstrate a commitment to the principals of customer care, display excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and have experience of working to targets and pre-determined timescales with an awareness of health and safety in the workplace.
Placement of advance electrician grade is dependent on meeting the criteria in the job profile and positions available.
Health Check will be required if recommended for appointment.
Qualifications
Time-served trade qualifications – SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) / City & Guilds.
Competence in performing Testing/Inspection to current regulations.
Experience in commercial or domestic electrical works.
Valid health and safety training.
