Our client, a specialist engineering business supporting offshore and marine technology, is looking to recruit an Electronic Technician to support their existing high performing engineering team.
This is a proper hands-on electronics role, not paperwork, not endless meetings.
Youll be soldering, testing, fault-finding and fixing electronic assemblies, building test jigs, and making sure equipment works reliably before it leaves the workshop. The work is varied and often bespoke, so youll need to be someone who enjoys solving problems and getting things working properly.
Youll be doing things like:
Soldering PCBs (through-hole & surface mount)
Testing and repairing electronic assemblies
Building simple but effective test rigs and jigs
Working from schematics and wiring diagrams
Spotting issues and fixing them, not passing them on
This role suits someone who:
Comes from an electronics workshop or technician background
Likes practical work and figuring things out
Takes pride in neat, reliable builds
Doesnt need micromanaging
Qualifications are useful, but hands-on ability matters more .
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys practical electronics work and wants variety, responsibility and real technical involvement.
