One of the world's largest financial institutions. Based in the central London, they provide corporate and investment banking, commercial banking, global markets and asset management services worldwide. The organisation is known for its balance sheet strength, long term client relationships, and a conservative, credit focused approach to financing across international markets.

Job Description

3. Prepare fundamental credit analysis to support new lending, live transactions, facility renewals, and annual reviews.
4. Manage and monitor an individual credit portfolio, developing deep counterparty and sector expertise over time.
5. Undertake qualitative and quantitative analysis, including cash flow modelling, stress testing, and downside scenarios.
6. Conduct ongoing portfolio monitoring, identifying emerging risks and assessing risk/return trade offs.
7. Participate in credit due diligence for new clients, transactions, and key risk events.
8. Make recommendations on internal credit ratings, structures, and transaction proposals.
9. Work closely with front office, legal and risk stakeholders to assess documentation, structure, and credit protections.
10. Contribute to sector and country research, with a particular focus on Energy, Metals, Mining and Renewables.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Associate - Credit Analyst should have:

11. Experience in fundamental credit analysis gained within a bank, asset manager, rating agency or private credit environment, ideally transaction driven.
12. Experience in commodities Credit Risk is preferred.
13. A Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
14. Exposure to investment grade and sub-investment grade counterparties.
15. Strong knowledge of financial analysis, accounting and cash flow modelling.
16. Understanding of loan documentation and key credit protections.
17. Professional qualifications such as CFA, ACA, ACCA, are advantageous.
