Working Hours

The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Nursery Room Leader to manage the daily operation, planning, and practice within a dedicated age-specific room. You will lead and mentor a small team, ensuring the highest standards of care, education, and safety for the children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Key Responsibilities
* Lead & Manage: Oversee the day-to-day running of the room, including rotas, resource management, and documentation.
* Curriculum & Practice: Plan, implement, and evaluate a stimulating EYFS-based curriculum that meets the individual needs of all children.
* Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate room staff, conducting regular supervisions and supporting their professional development.
* Child Development: Monitor and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records and observations.
* Parent Partnership: Build strong, positive relationships with parents/carers, providing regular feedback on their child’s day and development.
* Safety & Compliance: Ensure the room and its activities adhere to all safeguarding, health, and safety regulations.
Essential Requirements
* Full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification (or equivalent).
* Proven experience working within an early years setting.
* Demonstrable experience in a leadership or senior role (e.g., Room Leader, Third in Charge).
* Thorough knowledge of the EYFS Statutory Framework, Safeguarding, and Child Protection procedures.
