As an experienced Scrub Nurse/Practitioner or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP), you’ll join a friendly, multidisciplinary theatre team without night work, on‑call or bank holiday duties, allowing a better work‑life balance as you advance your career.
Responsibilities
Key duties include:
* Maintaining continuous cleanliness of the theatre and its equipment.
* Developing and executing procedures for ordering, receiving and transferring blood and blood products, and implementing blood conservation strategies.
* Acting as a patient advocate during the intra‑operative phase and ensuring total patient care in the peri‑operative phase.
Qualifications
* Registered NMC Nurse with scrub practitioner experience, or HCPC registered Operating Department Practitioner.
* Knowledge and experience working with an orthopaedic team.
* Experience in major orthopaedic surgery.
* Up‑to‑date knowledge of current research and developments in theatre practice.
* Sound knowledge of Health and Safety / Risk management within the operating department.
