Overview
The Company are a leading company in designing, manufacturing, and supplying high-performance sensors globally, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Stores Technician to join our team. The Stores Technician will be responsible for managing the receipt, inspection, and handling of goods in the stores department, ensuring compliance with quality standards and stock control.
Hours: 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday (early finish Friday on rotation)
Salary: up to £25,000 per annum depending on experience
Once training is complete the salary will rise to £27,200 per annum.
Responsibilities of the Stores Technician
1. Receive, book, and inspect goods
2. Ensure compliance with quality standards
3. Correctly label and store goods
4. Pick kits and issue materials
5. Pack and label finished goods
6. Control inventory and rotate stock
7. Dispatch finished items promptly
8. Prepare export documentation
9. Maintain accurate stock levels
10. Provide cover in any store location within the business
11. Adhere to operational procedures, rules, and schedules
Qualifications
12. General numeracy and literacy skills
13. Proficiency in PC applications (Word, Excel, MRP systems, etc.)
14. Manual handling experience
15. Organized and self-motivated
16. Strong communication skills
17. Flexibility and adaptability
18. Attention to detail
19. Previous stores experience
20. Familiarity with inspection equipment
21. Full and valid UK driving license
22. Forklift experience is desirable but not essential.
Day-to-day
The Stores Technician will be responsible for managing the receipt, inspection, and handling of goods in the stores department, ensuring compliance with quality standards and stock control. This includes stock control, picking, packing, and dispatching goods while ensuring compliance with purchase orders, mechanical drawings, and component specifications.
