An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Engineering Team onsite as aToolingEngineer.
What You Will Do
As a Tooling Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the manufacture, repair, and overhaul of nacelle systems and related components. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Designing tooling and lifting equipment to support manufacturing, repair, and design changes
2. Supporting overhaul activities across nacelle systems and other components
3. Calibrating tools and lifting equipment using laser tracking technology
4. Ensuring all tooling meets MRO, OEM, Type Certificate Holder, and regulatory requirements
5. Building strong working relationships across the business and with tooling subject matter experts at our California headquarters
6. Liaising with tooling manufacturers andprocurement activities
7. Supporting the development of capital expenditure plans and business justifications
8. Ensuring compliance with all Collins policies and procedures, including EH&S, Code of Ethics, Intellectual Property, and Global Trade Compliance

9. Exposure to complex aerospace MRO tooling design within a regulated environment
10. Bestpractice tooling and calibration methods, including laser tracking technology
11. Collaboration with global engineering and tooling experts
12. Insight into capital planning and investment justification within an aerospace organisation
Qualifications We Prefer
13. Proven experience as a Tooling Engineer
14. Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering qualification (degree preferred)
15. Strong computer skills,including MS Office
16. Experience withcomputer aided drawing systems.CATIA V5 andAutoDesk/AutoCAD (preferred)
17. Ability to interpret and work with 2D and 3D design data
18. Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
19. Strong communication, organisational, and report-writing skills
20. Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate within a team
Desirable:
21. Aerospace industry experience (or transferable tooling design experience from a similar industry)
22. Experience with composite and metallic structures
