Fully trained after 3 months: £13.45 per hour
Over time 1 paid after 37.5 hours – Time and a half paid £20.18
Over time 2 paid on a Sunday – Double time paid £26.90
TM Scotland are proud to be working on behalf of one of our clients based in Grangemouth who are looking to recruit two new members to add to the team on a temp to perm basis.
Our client is one of the largest, most efficient and innovative timber processing groups in Europe, offering the widest range of sawn timber products, including carcassing, fencing, palletwood and engineered timber products.
Our client operates 24/7, 365 however the bench operation runs as per below:
Mon to Fri 6am – 2pm on week 1, then Mon to Fri 2pm – 10pm on week 2 on rotation.
They do also have a night shift operation that is run from Sun to Thu 10pm – 6am.
The position requires someone who has experience working within a fast-paced environment, has power tool experience or is open to being trained on how to use a Bosch nail gun and a Mekita saw.
Our client’s demand is determined by the company who utilises their services, so it is crucial that you are someone who works well in a target-based position and has a good understanding of health and safety at work.
What can we offer you within our company as an Operator (Skilled)?
* Full training on how to use the power tools, handguns and saw. – Development to achieve our clients target within the first 3 months.
* Guaranteed temp to perm contract that can offer further development to progress into operator mentorship, machine work, control panels or progression to team leader / supervisor future roles.
* Training rate of £12.21 until you are achieving target - Trained rate of £13.45 per hour for a standard 37.5 hours available after week 6 if you achieve within your probationary period.
* Over time availability is on average anything between 15 – 25 hours extra per week. – Is paid at time and a half after 37.5 hours.
What do we require for you to be considered for our client?
* Excellent work ethic, a can-do attitude and someone who is keen to learn and develop your skills.
* The position is extremely physically demanding so you must be physically fit.
* Transferable skills working within a similar role using power tools, handguns and saws. – However not essential as full training is provided.
* A reference from a previous employer within the last 2 years
* Happy to work on rotational shift patten with the ability to get to and from site safely.
* Pre drug and alcohol tests are carried out based on our clients workers being subject at any time.
