We are seeking a flexible and enthusiastic General Cover Teacher to join a supportive school team. This role is ideal for a passionate educator who enjoys variety and is committed to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning across different subjects and year groups. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a General Cover Teacher:
* Deliver planned lessons and supervise classes in the absence of the regular class teacher.
* Ensure pupils remain engaged and on task, following the set work and school policies.
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a positive learning environment.
* Provide feedback on student progress and report any issues to relevant staff.
* Support the wider school community, stepping in where needed to maintain smooth daily operations.
* Uphold the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils.
Ideal General Cover Teacher:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (strong applications from unqualified cover supervisors with relevant experience will be considered).
* Experience teaching across a range of subjects and age groups is desirable.
* Strong classroom management and organisational skills as a General Cover Teacher.
* Flexible, adaptable, and calm under pressure.
* Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
