Role
* Responsible for corrective, planned and preventative maintenance tasks of production plant to minimize downtime.
* Carry out predictive maintenance tasks and report on findings.
* Maintain and implement planned maintenance schedules and routines for all equipment.
* Ensure all plant and equipment is operationally safe and complies with the relevant legislation.
* Ordering plant parts as and when required.
* Manage maintenance contractors onsite, to ensure they comply with Health & Safety and environmental regulations.
* Maintain a tidy and secure work environment.
* Provide regular information to assist management with decision‑making.
* Maintain files and administration as required, to comply with office processes and procedures.
* Ensure the smooth running of all aspects of the maintenance department.
Person
* Minimum 3 years experience in plant maintenance preferably with a heavy industry/engineering background.
* Hands on approach preferably with welding experience.
* Capable of troubleshooting mechanical downtime issues & resolve to root cause.
* Experience of a wide range of production plant.
* Experience in maintenance task planning, scheduling and recording.
* Experience in electrical diagnostics/installs desirable.
* Flexible attitude to work and be adaptable enough to respond to changing circumstances and business requirements.
* Willing to undertake such professional, organisational and administration duties in the most efficient and cost‑effective way as required within the maintenance department.
* Capable of undertaking and/or assisting with mechanical tasks.
