About the role
We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment where no day is the same.
You will play an important role in daily store operations by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and maintaining the store’s appearance.
As customer satisfaction is our priority, you will seek ways to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback, ensuring the store remains a safe place to work and shop.
You will be Responsible For
* Serving customers with passion and pride, providing natural and great service.
* Encouraging customer feedback via the ‘have your say’ survey.
* Working across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines to meet customer needs.
* Applying training to ensure safe working practices.
* Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to foster an inclusive atmosphere.
* Understanding store performance and contributing to profit delivery.
* Living company values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
* Clocking in and out accurately to ensure correct payment.
* Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment.
* Adhering to the ‘think 25’ policy when serving age-restricted products.
* Responding promptly to assistance calls or interventions at self-service checkouts.
* Maintaining a clean, tidy, and organized store environment.
* Possibly managing shifts in the absence of supervisors.
* Following training to ensure safety, legality, and well-being.
* For stores with a Post Office Local, duties include daily operations and passing necessary background checks; failure to pass will result in withdrawal of the job offer.
