Learning Designer - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
At M&S, we’re building a learner‑led culture where development is part of everyday work. As a Learning Designer, you’ll join a small, agile team creating innovative and impactful learning solutions that build skills, improve performance, and deliver measurable results.
You’ll work closely with the Learning & Leadership team, business stakeholders, and subject matter experts to turn design briefs into practical learning experiences, from digital modules and toolkits to workshops and blended programmes. Using design‑thinking principles and modern learning technologies, you’ll design, prototype, test, and refine solutions that are engaging, accessible, and aligned to business goals. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll not only design but also produce learning products, ensuring every experience is relevant, on‑brand and impactful. We have a flexible approach; talk to us about part‑time opportunities (minimum three days per week). Please note this role is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.

* Simplify complexity and create clean, on‑brand visuals and layouts that make learning easy to follow and engaging.
* Collaborate with stakeholders and SMEs to design solutions that solve business problems and drive measurable impact.
* Prototype, test, and refine learning products using tools such as Articulate Rise, Easy Generator, PowerPoint, and Adobe.
* Manage projects end‑to‑end, including briefs, timelines, stakeholder engagement, and third‑party content providers.
Who You Are
* Experience designing learning and delivering end‑to‑end projects from scope to launch.
* Skilled in tools such as PowerPoint, Canva, Articulate Rise, and Easy Generator.
* Knowledge of design thinking and modern learning design principles.
* Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
* Creative flair for layouts and graphics, plus advanced IT skills (Microsoft Suite & authoring tools).
