Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to provide business and administrative support to the various sections and staff within the Pharmacy Departments at Hexham, The Northumbria, North Tyneside General and Wansbeck Hospitals. The post is based at North Tyneside General Hospital, with the possibility of work at other sites within the Trust. This is a fast paced, demanding role suited for candidates who are up for a challenge.

Responsibilities
* Procurement of medicines and other items, ensuring efficient and timely processes.
* Accurate and timely processing and payment of invoices.
* Management of medicine supply issues and shortage management.
* Provide clerical support to the Pharmacy department, report production, data input, arranging meetings and any additional duties as required.
* Support to Pharmacy managers as needed.

Qualifications
* GCSE Grade C or above in English Language and Mathematics or equivalent numeracy and literacy skills
* IT skills to European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) standard or equivalent experience
* Must achieve NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy within 1 year of taking up post. In-house training will be provided to gain this qualification
Experience and Knowledge
* Knowledge and experience of ordering, invoicing, business and office procedures.
* Desirable: Experience of computer stock control systems and experience in a similar post.
Other Requirements
* It is an essential requirement of the role that the post holder has a valid driving licence and is either a car owner and able to use the car for work purposes or has a Trust personal lease vehicle which may be used for the role. The Trust would consider reasonable adjustments to enable a disabled person to undertake the role if necessary.
