Our client in Cowley is looking for a HGV driver to support their operation as a cover driver. This role is predominantly driving HGV1 vehicles however. As cover, your role day to day will vary, including trunking, shunting and deliveries. This will be 5 x shifts per week.
Duties:
* Driving HGV1 vehicle as required to cover deliveries or trunking. (Deliveries up to 5-6 max per shift)
* Liaising with the Transport office team during your shift regarding jobs requiring completing.
* All vehicle checks completed to ensure the vehicle is safe to use
* Driving in a safe, responsible manner on behalf of the client you are representing
* Follow driver working time directive at all times
Requirements:
* Hold HGV1 driving licence
* Be open and flexible to driving different classes of vehicles.
* Be prepared to wait for your job, shunt or delivery. (Paid throughout)
* Hold CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
* Good Knowledge of working time directive
