We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join our team at Morton on Swale Children’s Resource Centre, a registered children’s home providing short breaks for children with disabilities. You’ll work alongside the Registered Manager and another Deputy Manager to lead and support a committed team in delivering high-quality care. About the Role As Deputy Manager, you will: Support the day-to-day management and leadership of the service Deputise for the Registered Manager in their absence Attend key meetings and ensure Ofsted requirements are met Oversee rota preparation, health and safety, staff supervision and appraisals Drive forward practice and innovation in care delivery You’ll also take part in an out-of-hours standby rota (post-induction), supporting CRCs across North Yorkshire – with an additional allowance paid. About You We’re looking for someone who: Has experience working with children and young people, ideally in a regulated care setting Holds (or is committed to completing) a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management of Children’s Homes (or equivalent) Is a confident, autonomous leader with excellent communication and organisational skills Can advocate for and empower young people, especially those with autism, complex health needs, or behaviours that challenge Has experience in multi-agency working and is IT competent You will ideally be able to demonstrate evidence of experience within a regulated care setting and have experience of working with children or adults with disabilities. Experience of working in a multi-agency environment is essential and IT competence is also necessary. Why Join us?
