Here at Peabody, we have an opportunity for a Latent Defects Clerk of Works on a Permanent basis at our Westminster Bridge Road office.
A bit about the role:
As a Latent Defects Clerk of Works, you will oversee the quality management during the resolution of latent defects, helping to ensure that works are carried out in a safe and timely manner, in accordance with contract documents.
Some of the key results for the role include:
6. Liaise with Employers Agents, Contractors, Residents, internal colleagues, manufacturers and the like to achieve the objectives of the role and organisation
7. Ensuring that escalations are made to the appropriate person within the contract.
8. Visiting and inspecting works during construction and after completion and ensuring that defects are identified and remedied at the earliest opportunity, to prevent latent defects at later stages.
9. Reviewing O&M files, as built drawings, specifications, warranties and contracts as required to assist with defect diagnosis and the evaluation of options for remedying defects.
10. Liaising with residents to ensure a smooth defect experience and resulting in high levels of satisfaction around defect resolution.
This role will require a UK driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
A minimum of 1 to 2 days working in the Westminster Bridge Road office is required.
