Fully expensed working from Italy for one week a month.
Our client, a leader in the motorsports sector, is inviting applications for the role of Senior Composite Design Engineer. This is a permanent opportunity within the thrilling world of Formula 1, ideal for those passionate about innovation and achieving excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Designing F1 car composite parts, covering layout installations to patterns, moulds, tools, and jigs.
2. Enhancing development processes for more efficient design.
3. Mentoring less experienced designers.
4. Creating and maintaining detailed design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and analysis reports.
5. Collaborating with departments to ensure reliability and performance of designed parts.
6. Staying up-to-date with the latest technical developments in composite materials.
7. Contributing ideas for performance improvements and identifying potential issues.
8. Ensuring proactive and effective communication with various teams.
Job Requirements:
1. Proven experience in composite design, preferably in the automotive or motorsports industry.
2. Expertise in composite manufacturing techniques using pre-preg technology.
3. Proficiency in CAD software, specifically Siemens NX.
4. University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
5. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
6. Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
7. Capability to work under pressure to meet targets and deadlines.
8. Ownership of assigned projects.
