Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Active Care Lead and Active Care assistant to oversee and assist at our Morning and After School Clubs. Staff deliver a variety of creative, and play‑based activities that inspire and entertain children aged 4-11 years taking responsibility for the smooth running of the clubs, maintaining high standards of care and compliance, and fostering positive relationships with parents, children, and school staff.
Responsibilities
* Lead the day-to-day operation of the Morning and After School Clubs.
* Deliver an outstanding customer experience and act as the main point of contact for parents and carers.
* Ensure the safeguarding and well‑being of all children in your care.
* Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and professionals to support every child's development.
* Manage queries and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
* Promote the clubs within the school and local community.
* Prepare and serve a light breakfast/tea for children attending the Active Care sessions.
* Manage the ordering or purchasing of food and supplies for the provision.
Knowledge and Experience Requirements
* Experience in a similar environment (wraparound care/holiday clubs)
* Experience in EYFS (planning activities & experience assisting an Out of School Club or Sport Club) - (Desirable)
* Excellent organisation and time management skills
* Level 2/3 childcare or Play‑work qualification (Desirable)
* Level 2 Food Hygiene (Training can be provided)
* Be available five days a week (Mon‑Fri)
* First aid (Training can be provided)

Salary and Hours
* £12.71 - £13.50 per hour DOE
* Working Monday to Friday: 7:00am - 8:40am and Monday - Thursday 3:10pm - 5:30pm
* Term-time only (with the opportunity of holiday work)
