Job Description: Contract Manager
Location: Stafford
Role Overview: NRL is seeking a Contract Manager to work with a leading client in the Transmission and Distribution sector. The Site Contract Manager will oversee contract administration and management with subcontractors and suppliers to optimize financial and operational performance while minimizing risks. This role requires close collaboration with project and site management teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Claims & Variations: Manage and negotiate project-specific claims and variation orders.
2. Contract Compliance: Ensure all contractual rights and entitlements are preserved and notices are issued as required.
3. Guidance: Provide support and guidance on contractual issues to project and site teams.
4. Execution: Ensure successful execution of site activities contracts, meeting commercial, financial, and qualitative targets.
5. Risk Management: Proactively assess and manage risks and claims.
6. Records Maintenance: Maintain important site records, ensuring adherence to processes and tools.
7. Support: Offer direction on contractual and commercial matters to site staff.
8. Compliance: Ensure subcontractors and suppliers adhere to contractual obligations.
9. Documentation: Properly document delay events and non-budgeted costs, notifying responsible parties.
10. Cost Management: Provide advice to minimize additional costs and manage legitimate claims.
11. Coordination: Support scheduling, planning, and coordination of work, ensuring timely communication.
12. Feedback: Provide commercial and contractual feedback to relevant site and project teams.
13. Closeout: Assist in the closeout of site contracts and prepare closeout reports.
14. Purchasing: Ensure site purchasing terms are commercially sound and compliant with contract conditions and local laws.
Qualifications:
* Education: Degree in quantity surveying, construction, engineering, or related field. Additional project management or commercial qualifications (e.g., RICS) are advantageous.
* Experience: Minimum 10 years in international EPC contracts, preferably in energy and renewable energy sectors.
* Skills: Strong commercial, negotiation, and legal skills; excellent computer skills; fluent in English; planning, organization, negotiation, and presentation skills; creative, innovative, goal-oriented, and a team player.
Rate: £42 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract Duration: 6-month rolling contract
Hours: 37 hours per week
