Overview
ABUHB Pharmacy has a 12 month 0.6 WTE Education and Training 8A Pharmacist role available as either a Fixed Term or Secondment opportunity (Secondment applications require line manager approval). This is a key E+T specialist position based at Grange University Hospital, focused on delivering high-quality education and training across the Pharmacy Department and related programmes.
The role supports ABUHB’s Education and Training strategy, working with Site and Education and Training Leads to organise, evaluate and deliver training and development programmes within the Pharmacy Department. The successful candidate will contribute to the Funded Pharmacy Undergraduate Placement Programme (FPUPP) and operate as part of the wider ABUHB E+T team.
The working pattern will be agreed on appointment.

Responsibilities
* Lead and facilitate the delivery of education and training at site across commissioned and internal training programmes, including FPUPP.
* Support the ABUHB Education and Training strategy by coordinating with Site and Education and Training Leads to organise, evaluate and deliver training and development programmes within the Pharmacy Department.
* Ensure training and education provided meets statutory, professional and regulatory requirements for a range of learners (undergraduates, trainee Pharmacists, Post-Registration Foundation Pharmacists, Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Pre-Registration Technicians and Pharmacy Assistants).
* Lead and support delivery of HEIW commissioned training programmes, including FPUPP, within the relevant Pharmacy site.
* Act as a role model in Pharmacy practice and maintain a high standard of professional conduct aligned with the ABUHB Pharmacy Vision.
* Act as a non-medical prescriber when required, undertaking agreed sessions within the sphere of competence, initiating/modifying medication, monitoring therapy and adjusting treatment options.
* Deputise and support the Lead Pharmacists within the relevant Pharmacy Department when required.
Qualifications and Experience
* Registered Pharmacist with a passion for education and training.
* Experience in delivering education and training within a healthcare/pharmacy setting.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across professional disciplines.
* Desirable: experience as a non-medical prescriber or readiness to undertake required prescribing activities.
