Intro Cedar is currently partnered with an impressive PE-backed Technology business, to secure an Interim Operational Finance Manager. This role is offered on a 3-month contract, based in Central London, with a hybrid working model and an expected day rate of £350-400 (Inside IR35). The Role As Interim Operational Finance Manager, you will: Oversee daily finance operations, including AP/AR review, supplier ledger management, and accurate multi-entity, multi-currency bank postings. Ensure strong balance sheet control through monthly reconciliations and clear audit trails. Produce monthly cost centre reports with variance analysis. Collaborate with operational finance to allocate overheads, resolve coding issues, and enhance AP, AR, and cash management processes. Prepare and file quarterly VAT returns, ensuring compliance and analysing trends across periods. Contribute to annual budgeting and forecasting, focusing on fixed and semi-fixed overheads, and partner with FP&A and department leads to clarify cost drivers and headcount shifts. Maintain and enhance internal reporting tools, driving process improvements and automation in month-end and reporting cycles. Support external audits and board reporting, ensuring adherence to statutory and internal control requirements. Your Profile You will ideally have: A formal accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA). Previous experience in operational accounting, including AP & AR processes. Previous experience in contracting roles is preferred but not essential. The day rate offered represents a fair value or logical increase on your current salary or day rate. Availability to begin immediately or at short notice.
