DUTY WORKER TRANSITIONS SOUTH, NOTTINGHAM, PERMANENT, 37HRS, GRADE 2 AS, £24,398, FTE Who Are We? We are a charity delivering housing, health, employment, support and care services to people with a diverse range of needs. We dothis by providing a network of services that work together to suit the needs of the people we support providing a safety net for some and for others a platform for real and lasting change. We are looking for enthusiastic Duty Workers to join an established team in an Ofsted registered, supported accommodation service for young people aged 16-21yrs. This service works closely with Childrens Services in Nottinghamshire County Council. We provide support and accommodation to care experienced young people and homeless 16 & 17yr olds. Your role: As a Duty Worker, you will support young people to achieve the goals identified in their support plans, whilst building rapport and trust. These goals could be around increasing independence skills, such as budgeting, cooking cleaning or accessing education, training and education and keeping themselves safe. You will contribute to maintaining a safe, supportive environment, where young people make progress. Shift work is a necessary part of the role, weekends and bank holidays will be routinely worked; shifts are 8am-4pm, 2pm-10pm. The role will provide a good foundation of experience to move onto more specialist roles within Framework and other careers.
