Consultant Psychiatrist - STARS, Stafffordshire Treatment and Recovery System (STaRS) Team, part of Inclusion Services based in Stafford, Staffordshire, UK. Part-time role: 4 sessions, 16 hours per week. Flexibility will be considered.
Job Summary
We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to join our STaRS Team as a Registered Consultant Psychiatrist. STaRS is part of our Inclusion Services based in Stafford. You will provide clinical leadership to the Staffordshire Service in supporting a holistic approach to drug and alcohol treatment, contribute to the development of policies and procedures and a programme of continuous improvement, research and evaluation within the service, and take the lead on developing and managing a trainee rotational program. You will undertake specialist prescribing and medical assessment/treatment for service users attending a community drug and alcohol treatment service, including titration, stabilisation, detoxification and review.
The post is part-time: 16 hours per week. Flexible working patterns will be considered.
Responsibilities
* Provide clinical leadership to the Staffordshire Service and work with the multi-disciplinary team to address service users’ wider care needs.
* Provide clinical supervision to other medics, clinic lead and other prescribers as required.
* Provide specialist prescribed treatment to individuals attending the community drug and alcohol treatment service.
* Provide medical advice and guidance on complex cases to staff within Inclusion and attend prescribing forums.
* Take an active role in Inclusion research and innovation opportunities.
* Ensure the service is compliant with CQC standards.
Qualifications
Essential
* Medical Degree (MRCGP/MBBS)
* Fully registered with the GMC and on Medical Performers' List/Registered with a licence to practise
* On specialist register (with addiction endorsement)
Desirable
* Management Qualification
* RCGP working in substance misuse Part I and II (or agreement to work towards promptly achieving these qualifications)
Experience
Essential
* Significant post-qualification experience
* Good experience of working within the substance misuse field
* Demonstrated understanding of the need for multidisciplinary and multi-agency working
Desirable
* Previous management/leadership experience

* Salary: £109,725 to £145,478 per annum
