What we need in a nutshell
We love creating exciting dining concepts across our locations and finding talented chefs to take them forward. In this Kitchen Team Leader role you will be preparing and cooking for a busy restaurant and helping to manage a team of Line Chefs, Kitchen Assistant and Kitchen porters.

What you will be doing
We need someone who understands that a first-class guest experience is an essential part of their stay at Piperdam. Here are some of the things you will be doing:
1. Open up or close down of the kitchen
2. Managing the shift and team in the kitchen
3. Assisting the management team in coaching and training
4. Working as part of a team you will be responsible for food preparation and cooking.
5. Ensuring presentation of menu items to a high standard.
6. Adhering to operational cleanliness and food hygiene
7. Supporting team members to help them be the best they can be
8. Ensuring restocking at the end of a shift
9. Complying with all the legal requirements
And who knows what else you may find yourself doing. If you are happy to help even when it is ‘not your job,’ you are our sort of person.
Skills, experience, and qualities you will need
We have high standards! We will train you up, but you must:
10. Experience in a similar role
11. Passion for food and delivering excellent service
12. Experience supervising a team
13. Ability to think on your feet and deal with problems
14. Experience with stock control and working to a budget
15. Working closely with the Kitchen Manager you will be an integral part of the team; you should also be happy to interact with customers.
