Senior Data Privacy Specialist – Europe

Are you a seasoned privacy professional with a deep understanding of European data protection regulations? We are partnering with a leader in computer vision and AI dashcam technology to find a Senior Data Privacy Specialist to join their team in Europe and play a key role in expanding their operations.
About the Role
Our client is an innovative company that helps improve road safety with their cutting‑edge AI dashcam technology. As they grow their presence in Europe, they need an engaging privacy expert to support their global team. This role is a crucial link between their technology and their customers, helping them navigate privacy requirements while achieving their safety objectives.
This position is ideal for a forward‑thinking, senior leader who can stay current with data regulations and help evolve the company's privacy‑by‑design products.
Key Responsibilities
* Customer Privacy Support: Address privacy concerns from drivers, works councils and other stakeholders, explain the data access framework and guide customers through privacy compliance resources, including a template DPIA.
* European Privacy Intelligence: Monitor European data protection regulatory developments, assess their impact on solutions and gather customer feedback to help prioritise product enhancements. Represent the company’s privacy‑by‑design approach at industry conferences.
What We Are Looking For
* A Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, or a related field.
* 10+ years of experience in European data protection/privacy (GDPR) frameworks and their practical implementation.
* A strong understanding of B2B SaaS privacy considerations.
* Experience in a customer‑facing technical or consultative role.
* Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
Preferred qualifications include:
* CIPP/E or a similar certification.
* Fluency in German, Dutch, or French.
* Experience in the transportation, logistics, or fleet management industry.
* Experience with privacy impact assessments or AI products and governance.
