Job Responsibilities:
* Work with a Senior Analyst on all aspects of the research process from idea generation to client communications.
* Perform complex financial modeling and valuation work.
* Write industry and company reports, including company initiations, from scratch.
* Develop and maintain databases vital to our research products.
* Develop strong industry knowledge and business judgment.
* Explore key industry themes in collaboration with the Senior Analyst.
* Cover multiple subsectors within the stock coverage.
* Build relationships and facilitate information flow with contacts at covered companies.
* Participate in and contribute to client meetings and events.
* Monitor and understand market, industry, and company-specific activities and relay insights to analysts.
* Seek out new, valuable, and unusual sources of information.
* Interact regularly with internal and external clients.
Requirements:
* At least 3 years of relevant experience in analytical or financial markets roles; prior sell-side or buy-side equity research preferred.
* Strong understanding of equity research, valuation, and financial markets, with a proven track record of high-quality analytical research, written reports, and communication skills.
* Inquiring nature with logical thinking ability and clear, engaging communication of ideas.
* Strong modeling and database skills.
* Ability to produce high-quality, evidence-based reports or projects.
* Fluency in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken.
* Ability to promote ideas and collaborate with various stakeholders.
* Creative thinking to generate new ideas and see business opportunities from novel perspectives.
* Flexibility to adapt approaches based on shifting priorities or conditions.
* Team-oriented, collaborative, and proactive in identifying and completing analysis with limited supervision.
