An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Tekla Detailer to join a specialist steelwork engineering team delivering high-quality architectural and structural metalwork projects across the UK.
This role is ideal for a detailer with strong Tekla Structures experience and a background in architectural steelwork, façade systems, and complex fabrication detailing.
The Role
You will be responsible for producing accurate 3D models and fabrication drawings for architectural steelwork projects, working closely with design, engineering, and fabrication teams to ensure buildable and visually high-quality solutions.
Projects will include staircases, feature steelwork, balustrades, walkways, canopies, and bespoke architectural metalwork packages for commercial and public-sector developments.
Key Responsibilities
* Producing detailed 3D models using Tekla Structures
* Creating fabrication and assembly drawings for architectural steelwork
* Developing GA drawings, connection details, and workshop information
* Coordinating with engineers, architects, and project teams
* Ensuring designs are accurate, buildable, and fabrication-ready
* Resolving technical detailing issues with internal and external teams
* Maintaining drawing revisions and project documentation
* Supporting fabrication and site teams during manufacture and installation
* Ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Tekla Detailer within steelwork or metalwork environments
* Strong proficiency in Tekla Structures
* Experience in architectural steelwork, façades, or bespoke metalwork packages
* Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings
* Strong understanding of fabrication and manufacturing processes
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Good communication and coordination skills
* HNC/HND or equivalent in engineering or construction-related discipline preferred
